Tequesta Monument

Bronze, created 1996, 53-foot (16 meters)

Located at mid-span of the Brickell Avenue Bridge. It consists of the 32-foot (11 meters) “Pillar of History” which narrates graphically the lives of the Tequesta Indians (Miami’s first inhabitants dating back 2,000 years) and the 17 ft. high (5 meters), “Tequesta Family” sculpture, Miami, Florida.
