Mr. Ricardo J. Gonzalez III is the nephew of Sculptor Manuel Carbonell and is the proprietor of the Estate of the artist. Having established Beaux Arts Gallery in 1987 for the purpose of representing the oeuvre of Carbonell. He has the expertise of having supervised the production and installations of Carbonells’ sculptures, working with foundries both in Italy and the United States.
Previous to representing Carbonell full time, he is currently a registered architect in the State of Florida, receiving his architectural degree from the University of Miami with a minor in art. He is a former Developer and General Contractor, having had a large practice over a span of thirty plus years.
Mrs. Joyce Lowry Gonzalez is a graduate of California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts). Mrs. Gonzalez has been the gallery Director for the past ten years, working closely with Carbonell in those early years. Possessing a love for art since childhood, she grew up surrounded by art and creativity. However, having explored different fields in her professional career, she finds that all have helped and nurtured an ultimate passion in creating Carbonell’s legacy. Currently she is dedicated to the creation of all phases of the Catalogue Raisonné of the artist. She is an expert on the artworks of Carbonell.
Having a background in international commercial real estate in New York City, this enables her to understand underperforming assets, identify superior investment opportunities for maximum returns, and apply creative problem solving, by evaluating alternatives and persuasively pitching ideas. She is highly experienced in forming strong partnerships and understanding market trends, and recognizing how to best utilize all available information and accessible resources to structure appropriate solutions.
